Very nice.
Nothing beats a end of day and beginning of day hot tent warmth just to take the chill out

I don't keep the hide of mature bulls. it is too tick and too heavy, we travel by canoes and the extra weight and bulk is a bit of a pain and the slat it needs to do a god job of preservation is also a heavy bulky item!! year old bull and caribou I usually do or did in the past anyway!!

Ah man... ANDN...now that's a trip! I have such a longing to experience something like that. One day perhaps...

I love the Snowterkker tent and moose meat photo. Great shot.

That looked like a great trip, Thanks for sharing the adventure

Thanks for the write-up.  I am with BioGuide - would be nice to do a hunt like that in the fall - one of these days.  I notice the window in the back of the snowtrekker - did it come that way or was it added after?

ADN: Great photos and looks like a great hunt. I am leaving Thursday morning for a fly-in moose hunt out of Red Lake Ontario. Getting dropped in the Woodland Caribou National Preserve. Must leave our guns outside the Preserve and paddle out to get them each day to hunt. Sadly, we will not be staying in a tent. The outfitter has a cabin. Personally, I like the thin layer of canvas between me and the wind outside.

Any concerns about Grizzly or Black Bears getting into your meat cache at night?

Wow that is interesting... Leaving your guns out the area you actually stay... Never heard of that before. How does that work?

There is always a chance I guess, but we do keep a clean camp and in 20 years up here I never had a problem, in fact, even going back to the carcass many days later I never stumble on a bear, wolfs, ravens, foxes etc but never a bear!
