FINALLY we are starting to see some good fish pics on this site this season!     ;D
Nice whitefish.

Big honking lake!   What lake is that?

Shiners are always the best.  Very hard to find in these parts.

I count it as one of the great tragedies of my life that I have not had opportunity to eat a freshly caught White Fish, (let be catch the same); but perhaps one day?

Hi HOOP,

Glad you like the pics.
I was fisin Lake Ouentironk and yes, its definately a honker with an area of about 725 km2 . Not exactly remote being so close to urban areas (heck in winter, it almost is an urban area ;D). Still, a few short kms and all i can see is horizon. Makes for great day trips to try out gear/techniques.

Hi Haggis. Keep the faith. Its never too late. ;D

Z, the whitie will run you 200 bucks a lb for me to break even. ;D

That is a.k.a Lake Simcoe correct?  I hadn't heard that the name  "Lake Ouentironk" before so it had me curious what lake could be 725 km2 that I hadn't heard of - good thing for google!  Nice looking fish!

Hi FlatbowMB,

You are correct. I was recently reading about Simcoe and came across its original name.
Thought it might be interesting to bring it back into awareness.
