New style Targa G3 bindings for back country touring
« on: November 20, 2011, 02:04:15 am »
I have a set of old downhill skiis i use for Telemarking and I wax for touring ( I should buy skins - even kicker skins but I'm tight) and I am interested to hear if any-one here has used the Targa touring binding in place of the older 3-pin design and comment on it's real useful ness.
I use leather boots for light day tripping but I have always found the heavy plastic Telemark boot gave much more control on ice hardpack and the down hills as well as being much much warmer.
Unfortunately I have never found an insulated overboot that will fit the newer styles plastic Cross country boot
