20' square tarp
« on: March 12, 2012, 11:58:45 am »
I pitched my tarp on the Badger lake ice in a blizzard.
All the other fisherpeople were camping in trailers.
The wind howled all night but my pegs held. I taped up the north vents.
This is a cheap construction tarp and is noisy in the wind but it has lasted for numerous camps.
I lent it to some homeless people and it got sooty inside, I am guessing from wood and marijana smoke.

Chimpac I am continually amazed at your unique designs.  That looks like one serious wind shedding rig!  You should go into production with your integrated stove tent pole system!   :)

The more we respect them, the more we cherish them, the more we nurture and take care of them. That is the underlying principle of Bushcraft.

That's pretty cool alright. The woods around here are full of tarps and structures from the homeless. They winter camp every night.

So who in the land of wintertrekking wants to set up shop and start making stoves, sewing and glueing fittings on tarps?

Wonderful design.  I'm impressed.

Thanks for helping the homeless.
