75mm 3 pin boots and bindings questions
« on: November 17, 2012, 12:49:54 pm »
I've got a pair of Europa 99's with Skilom 75mm 3 pin bindings marked as "medium". Will these bindings fit a leather, vibram soled boot like those made by crispi or alico? Am I right to assume I would have problems closing the bale because of bill thickness?

Also are  the mounting holes for a 3 pin telemark binding like rottefella or voile the same as a traditional binding like the ones I have described above?

Thanks

Try it, it might fit... As for the hole pattern, it should be the same!!
Cheers

My leather Crispi Mountain boots has a bill thickness of 5/8 of an inch and fits in both my pairs of light duty wooden touring skis.  My heavy duty Rottefella 3-pin bindings on my backcountry skis seam the same measurements as the lighter ones except for accepting greater bill thickness but I would think you should be okay.
