Anyone have pictues of a Tupic tent?
« on: March 11, 2014, 11:47:25 pm »
Hey. Just had a chat with Craig Macdonald.

Anyone have a picture of his Tupic tent? Just wondering what it looks like.

Guess the notoriety of the Tupic tent is about as widespread as his advertizing.

I think there was a drawing of one in his 'instructions/guide' for winter camping. Forgot where I placed mine but it's a wealth of information. For some reason I recall it was a longish tent with two upright poles set back from the ends of the tent, sidewalls all around. So it had a sloping roof with no flat wall as in trad wall tents.

Come to think of it, Snowtrekkers probably look like the progeny if it had a knee wall around the bottom.

Well, geeze. I know so little about them I didn't even know how to spell it. The k would make sense though, since I suppose it has Inuit lineage.

I was simply curious, because he was telling me all about it and how much better it was than a snowtrekker, yet I didn't have the slightest clue what it looked like.

It would maybe help if I spelled it correctly. Thanks for the link
