Red Lake & Area Update
« on: February 09, 2009, 10:36:07 am »
Lots of snow on the ground now.  Over 4 feet in the bush as of this weekend.  All lakes are solid with a t least 30 inches of ice as we had a long cold spell before most of the snow begain to fly.

The area is expecting high temps (in the + range) and rain this week so conditions might get pretty sloppy on the lakes.

Meanwhile, here on the Iron Range of Northern Minnesota, we're having a rainy day. It hangs upon luck one supposes; my new Montagnais snowshoes have just arrived from Faber in time for the snow to begin its alternate melting, crusting, and melting.
