Cast iron Dutch oven on the stove top?

Just trying to see if the idea is possible for baking a half way decent loaf of bread?
Wile I probably wouldn't attempt this on a LW tin stove I have the cast iron stove and the top gets very very hot
I also have a medium size Dutch oven that will fit on top
Thinking about Miz Moosies stove top oven would an upturned drum be enough to get the loaf to cook from both sides?
I have to make some sort of cover of course [ or get a smaller Dutch over perhaps] but I was thinking that the feet on the pan was needed so the bread would no burn on the bottom
Who here bakes fresh bread when they can rather than rely on pancakes and baking powder bannock?

I was just reading a thread in here on Dutch Ovens. Most of your questions are answered in the thread. On our last trip my friend did pulled pork in a Dutch oven. I'm sold and going to look into these more.
