Atlas Snowshoes' Poor Binding Material
« on: December 28, 2017, 05:31:45 pm »
Last winter I went to use my Atlas snowshoes (20 years old) and found the flexible plastic parts had disintegrated!

I do have another pair of 'shoes, MSR Lightning Ascent, but I like to have a pair to lend. So now I'll have to order a new set of bindings from Atlas. Dare I hope they have improved the material they use?

I went with Iversons neoprene. I have a pair of Viking Green Mountain shoes that the neoprene lasted 30 years before I needed to replace them. H style, but many choices out there.
