Karhu backcountry skis
« on: December 24, 2009, 10:28:47 pm »
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience with these skis?

This lot is a little much, but this seller has had some single pairs for sale recently as well, in 190 and 210. They claim camber and a half. The price was right for new skis- $30-40/pr.

I donno. They might work ok, but I would think you could go to a ski sale and actually handle what you are going to buy. Having said that the profile seems ok for a bc ski if that length is ok for you. Trouble is, you can't test the stiffness of the camber for your weight.  I guess I would direct you to a local ski sale.

They are MilSpec skis from Karhu Canada. I have a pair in my garage with Ramer cable bindings. They're heavy, but they are also bombproof.
